Brief description: Their panel of speakers will provide an outline of the incentives and capabilities available to researchers conducting their development activities in Australia. The session will provide delegates with an audience response device facilitating a stimulating real time interaction with panel members. The workshop panel includes David Wilson (General Manager, Research, Development and Venture Capital Branch, Department of Industry), Doron Ben-Meir (CEO Commercialisation Australia), Errol Malta (Principal, Medicines Development), Stewart Hay (CEO, Therapeutic Innovation Australia), who will explain their national capabilities and incentives for research based in Australia. The panel will be chaired by Bryan Williams (Director of Monash Institute of Medical Research).

Brief description: Dr Michelle McIntosh (Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences) will describe her team's award winning work on an innovative dry powder aerosol oxytocin delivery system can be inhaled by patients immediately after childbirth and that removes the need for refrigeration, sterile conditions, trained health workers whilst eliminating the risk of needle-stick injuries and transmission of blood-borne diseases.
